The students need your help.
The good news is Carthay is getting much needed upgrades including an elevator!
Unfortunately, the proposed location of the elevator and ramps will require
the removal of two mature, shade-providing oak trees.

Why It Matters
These trees provide shade on the asphalt yard.
On a 92 degree day, the surface heat on the
unshaded asphalt can reach 149 degrees.

The mature oak trees also help out city's tree count -- filtering air and providing a home for birds.
These oak trees average life span is 200 years!
